What is 5S?

The 5S method, which name comes from the first letter (in Japanese) of each of its five stages, is a Japanese management technique based on five simple principles:
- Seiri (Organization)
- Seiton (Neatness)
- Seiso (Cleaning)
- Seiketsu (Standardization)
- Shitsuke (Discipline)

What’s the aim of the 5S? |
The implementation of the 5S satisfies multiple objectives. Each 'S' has a particular objective:
- Eliminate all useless workspace
- Organize the workspace in an efficient way
- Improve the level of cleanliness in all spaces
- Prevent dirtiness and disorder
- Promote all efforts in this sense
